A green initiative
Have you ever noticed the massive exploitation of Madagascar’s flora and fauna in recent years? Unfortunately, if we don’t act now, Madagascar risks losing its status as a unique island in terms of biodiversity. Activities such as the illegal exploitation of rosewood, the unregulated export of natural resources and bush fires are seriously threatening our environment. The COVID-19 crisis has only exacerbated the situation; many national parks are now being burnt down to turn them into farmland.
Faced with this disaster, our group of young people decided to found our own association to educate people about the importance of forests and transform tourism into a sustainable and equitable economic driver for local communities. Since 2020, we have implemented several awareness-raising projects aimed at integrating tourism into community initiatives for local development. We have also worked in various educational centres to raise awareness and inspire young people to take care of our planet.
We Are Non Profit Organization
Founded in 2020 by Vivy Travel, Vivy Green and Humanity, also known as Greeny, is a not-for-profit association involved in the promotion of sustainable tourism, environmental conservation and protection, professional training, awareness-raising and sustainable impact partnerships. Guided by our values of sustainability, integrity and respect, we are ready to take on any challenge to ensure the success of our projects.
We are also taking part in humanitarian projects. Although Greeny focuses on environmental projects and sustainable development, we don’t hesitate to get involved in supporting humanitarian projects, helping disadvantaged people and providing water and resources.
A team of determined young Madagascans
Greeny is made up entirely of a team of young people, 100% Malagasy, who have come together to create a new world. Our team is made up of young tourism graduates, regional and national guides, and university lecturers specialising in sustainable development, conservation and environmental protection. All united in support of the same cause.
Since 2020, we have been working mainly in the Malagasy Highlands and, thanks to our regional partners, we are extending our action nationwide. Although our activities are currently concentrated in Madagascar, our ambition is to become a model of sustainable development and environmental conservation, not only on the island but also beyond. We firmly believe that, through the commitment and passion of our team, we can inspire other communities to follow our example.
